Similar to the NEMA 3, a NEMA 3R enclosure is also intended for outdoor use. It provides a greater degree of protection against rain, sleet, falling snow or dirt and damage from external ice formation. It is ideal for any outdoor installation where no blowing snow or blowing conductive dust exists.
